CPD Scheme Development

Over the last year as a consultant, I have written several SEDA Accredited Online programmes, including for Queen’s University Belfast where I am also the external for their Teaching Awards.

I am an Adviser for several CPD schemes, an external examiner for PGCert LTHE programmes 

In my previous role as Head of CELT at Manchester Metropolitan University I led Institution-wide provision of pedagogic enhancement, academic staff development, and curriculum improvement; this incorporated the leadership of teaching qualifications (F2F and online versions of the PGCert and Masters in Learning and Teaching in HE), the HEA Accredited MMU PSF Scheme and FLEX Academic CPD initiative, and targeted support for programme review, design and evaluation.              www.celt.mmu.ac.uk

CPD Scheme Review

I am working with Coventry, Greenwich, and LJMU as an external expert of UKPSF panels, and as an adviser for NTF and CATE development.

I have worked with LJMU on the development, as an external examiner, of their SEDA PDF Accredited courses.

I am currently working with universities to embed the new L7 Academic Professional Apprenticeship for new academic staff, into existing schemes.

I am one of the first Indepenedent End Point Assessors, working for Adbvance HE, and in this capacity can offer training and development advice for universities wishing to implement the apprenticeship or develop their scheme. 

CPD Scheme Evaluation

I was commissioned by Oxford Brookes University to support the development of a NTFS and CATE pipeline scheme and supported / mentored new cohort applicants.

I am the External Assessor for Keele University Teaching Innovations Project Awards Scheme
